Our Story
In 2019, REDIST was a mere passing thought of a solo independent developer, contemplating if a project to renovate an old townhouse on a quiet street in Hoboken could work. A thought on how beautiful the aging facade of the building must have been, how splendid it would be to restore it to its former glory.
The expense would have been prohibitive, and though he knew there were some government programs that would have helped defray the cost, the process of navigating that was nigh-impossible. And so an idea was born.
Today, we are team of diverse and multi-disciplinary professionals with deep domain expertise both inside and adjacent to this complex ecosystem of public financing.
We’re fortunate to have not only the first-hand experience of the pain-point, but also the perspective and desire to change it.

Atif Z. Qadir
Co-Founder & CEO
Founder of Amanat Properties, licensed architect, and city planning commissioner, Atif has an incredibly multi-disciplinary and multi-faceted view of real estate development and investment, honed through positions at as Extell, Gwathmey Siegel, Turner, and Honest Buildings.
Atif is a first-generation immigrant, a proud alumnus of Columbia Business School and MIT School of Architecture + Planning, makes terrible puns, recently picked up sailing, and can’t help making bad puns about sailing.
Jonathan Kuo
Co-Founder & CTO
An investor and founder, Jonathan brings perspectives from the worlds of both financiers and builders. Prior to REDIST, Jonathan invested in the technology, media, and internet equities at a number of long-short equity funds, and is a Goldman Sachs alum.
Jonathan holds dual-degrees in Economics and Computer Science from The Wharton School and The School of Engineering & Applied Sciences at The University of Pennsylvania. He is an avid boulderer, nerds out on design and typography, and asks too many questions.
